S1Ep03. Inclusion or Bust?: Discussing Inclusive Nationalism with Daveed Gartenstein-Ross part 2

Today’s episode reflects on September 11, 2001, as a turning point twenty years later. We discuss this time of profound tension, the divides around us, extremism, and solutions to society’s ills: Inclusive nationalism, KPIs of inclusive nationalism, US-ness, and a need to be an agent of change for a better society. 👉 Our guest Dr. Daveed Gartenstein-Ross is a scholar, author, practitioner, and entrepreneur who is the founder and chief executive officer of Valens Global and leads a project on domestic extremism for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD). The International Herald Tribune has described Daveed as “a rising star in the counterterrorism community.” He has previously held positions at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Google’s tech incubator Jigsaw, and Georgetown University. In addition, Daveed has recently published two monographs on domestic extremism as part of the project he leads for FDD, exploring white supremacist extremism and the militant anarchist and anti-fascist movements.
